BIOGRAPHY
ANDREW GASPAR

Andrew Gaspar is the Principal of Gaspar Global Ventures. He founded the Schroder Ventures US Fund, a private equity fund that focused on investments in technology, media and business services.

Mr. Gaspar has spent 35 years in private equity investing and has conducted business in 31 countries around the world.  From 1991 through 1998, he was the co-founder of the Lauder Gaspar Funds, which invested in global telecom companies and in media in Eastern Europe.  For ten years prior to that he was a Partner of Warburg Pincus & Co., specializing in technology and media investing.  He has served on the Boards of Directors of 40 public and private companies, including Bridge Communications, Central European Media Enterprises, and four current portfolio companies. 

Mr. Gaspar started his career as a digital design engineer at Raytheon and spent 10 years with RCA Corporation and its operating divisions in various finance, planning, new business development and operating positions, including running RCA Globcom’s international Voice and Data services. 

Andy graduated from Columbia University with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, received an MS degree in Computer Science from Northeastern University and an MBA degree from Harvard Business School. He served two terms as Chairman of the Columbia University Engineering School’s (SEAS) Board of Visitors and currently runs that body’s Long Term Planning Committee. He also serves as Chairman of the Egleston Award Committee and is a past Chair of the Society of Columbia Graduates as well as the Columbia University Alumni Trustee Nominating Committee.

BIOGRAPHY
DAVID GASPAR

David is a digital media entrepreneur, strategy consultant and financial executive with over 10-years of experience. He has crafted effective partnerships with organizations ranging in size and scope from multinational multi-billion dollar financial services conglomerates to innovative online media startups. He currently provides digital media strategy consulting services for large institutions like Citibank and The Economist as well as numerous emerging businesses and startups like Motive, TV and Ride Amigos. 
 
David was the CFO of Hitviews, an online media startup that matches brands with web-video producers to create original branded content for the web. He was responsible for all financial, operational, legal and administrative activities of the business.  Prior to that, he spent 4-years at GE Capital in their business development group implementing corporate strategy through M&A and partnership development.  David successfully executed numerous partnerships and acquisitions with cumulative assets of over $12 billion throughout the United States, Canada, Central America and South America. He led target sourcing, pricing and due diligence processes for companies in the credit card, money transfer, student lending, personal savings, home finance, auto finance, RV & marine finance, and international commercial finance industries. David began his career as an investment banker for Jefferies & Company.
 
David graduated from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University where he received a BBA in Marketing and Consulting.  As a top-talent employee at General Electric he was invited to Crotonville (GE’s university) for several management training courses.  David also received his Six Sigma quality certification while at GE. He currently serves on the Executive Board of Goizueta Business School’s New York Chapter and founded the Emory Entrepreneurs Group of NY.
